A Letter from the Killer Muse

What is the Killer Muse?

I’m often asked how I came up with the name.

THE KILLER MUSE embodies someone who is confident and unbothered by the opinion of others. They are a true leader and visionary and is unapologetically themselves. Their energy is candescent, leaving people inspired to be more.

Join me on my journey as the Founder and CEO of THE KILLER MUSE. I’m still learning but I’m incredibly driven by my sheer passion to make people feel incredible about themselves.

My Journey

My want for an endless wardrobe started when I was 11. We didn’t have much money growing up so, I began using fashion to imitate someone that did.

Naturally, my love for fashion grew. I loved being ahead of the next trend and would buy cheap, fast clothing to create expensive looks that were inaccessible to me.

But during my time working between luxury fashion and fast fashion start ups in Melbourne and Copenhagen, I recognised how pollutant and exploitative the industry was leaving me confused with no real option to shop ethically, affordably and sustainably.

During this time I began working as a Stylist and founded Manage My Wardrobe, a wardrobe management service where I decluttered, organised and built capsule wardrobes for my clients. I saw first hand how little clients wore their clothes and needed my help to update their wardrobes with key pieces for the upcoming season.

My Journey into Entrepreneurship

It began in 2019 when I had the idea of starting a rental company, little did I know I was going into the tech space. I had 0 experience in the tech industry and barely worked a corporate job in my life but I was determined and built THE KILLER MUSE into something I’m proud of today.

4 years in, I’ve recognised that rental is still an expensive shopping habit that not everyone can afford. Now, I’m on a bigger mission to create a platform that everyone can enjoy. Learning from a lot of failures, I’m determined to build something truly inspirational.

My mission has always been to share the enjoyment of fashion and for people to feel empowered by their clothes. There’s nothing more beautiful than people being able to freely express themselves and fashion is a special tool that allows that.
